Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with Remote Monitoring
Category: la crosse technology sensor
The Ambient Weather WS-2000 is a comprehensive local and remote weather monitoring system. Its high-definition, full-color TFT LCD display is easy to read, day or night, with light and dark background options. The console receives wireless data from the outdoor sensor array, including wind speed and direction, rainfall, temperature, humidity, UV, and solar radiation. It can also receive barometric pressure, humidity, and temperature from an optional indoor sensor (sold separately).
The dynamic color display combines measured parameters with calculated data, such as "Feels Like" temperature (wind chill and heat index), dew point, 10-minute wind speed and direction, sunrise, sunset, moon phase, and weather forecasts. The multi-screen display also includes NIST internet time server synchronization, imperial and metric units, high/low alarm conditions with audible alerts, calibration of all major parameters, and real-time internet weather publishing.
Ambient Weather Network (AWN) integration allows you to forge connections within the weather enthusiast community. Your personal online dashboard becomes a focal point for sharing real-time weather data. This interactive platform empowers you to customize your dashboard and freely share your weather insights with the AWN community at no additional cost. Join like-minded individuals passionate about weather observation and analysis.
The responsive design allows you to add your personal weather station to a map and create your own hyperlocal forecast. Customize your dashboard, organize your tiles, and label your sensors. View radar, wind, or temperature layers, and watch time-lapse videos from local weather cameras or add your own.
The mobile app provides an interactive map of weather stations, cameras, and map layers for a detailed, hyper-local view of current conditions. Access localized temperature, "feels like" temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, and precipitation levels.
Extensive data and alert features include email or text notifications for high and low conditions, daily/monthly/yearly graphs, and CSV data downloads. The Alexa and Google Assistant skills provide real-time and historical weather information. The IFTTT integration allows you to trigger web services, applets, and devices. Developers can retrieve real-time and historical data through the API for third-party apps.
The wireless sensor array connects to the console via RF (915 MHz) up to 330 feet line of sight (100 feet under most conditions). It mounts to a 1.25-2" diameter pole with an adaptive bracket and U-bolt design. The solar panel charges the supercapacitor, with an optional battery backup. The console's Wi-Fi settings are entered directly, and encrypted Wi-Fi transmission is supported. The WS-2000 also displays minimum and maximum conditions with timestamps, and historical data can be exported to an SD card for advanced analysis.
